Job Summary

Looking for a professional Bartender to give quality experiences through proper steps of service and with an in-depth knowledge of bourbon, whiskey, wine and gourmet culinary items. A warm “tableside” manner is required. Due to our constantly evolving menu, we are looking for individuals who welcome continuous education, and are capable of speaking eloquently about our menu, wines, spirits & beers while executing classic and craft cocktails recipes. Haven requires a high level of bartending experience as well as advanced food, wine and alcoholic beverage knowledge.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Arrive for evening shifts only, closed most Sundays
  • Prepare all wells, service bar and back bar for service
  • Attend and contribute to interactive pre-shifts
  • Exceed the customer expectations by providing them with friendly, prompt and attentive service that is tailored to the customer’s preference
  • Efficiently craft every drink to perfection
  • Serve customer responsibly
  • Have extensive knowledge of and be able to discuss our food and drink menu
  • Ability to recommend and reinforce the customers’ orders
  • Answer any questions about our Spirited Drinks
  • Commitment to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift
  • Prepare drinks with proper safety equipment, tools and recipe specs with further direction from Management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Represent our bar program featuring over 600 labels of wine, 300 bourbons and whiskeys and special collaboration beers
  • Extensive craft beer, spirits & cocktail knowledge
  • Food menu and artisanal cheese and charcuterie knowledge must be developed
  • Able to work within a team environment to coordinate a one of a kind dining experience with upbeat, outgoing and positive energy
  • Accountability, professionalism and a high level of conscientiousness regarding the guest experience
  • Ability to pair wines & spirits with a constantly evolving menu with attention to classic wine service
  • Ability to perform the following: carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds, moving about the restaurant, handling food, plates, trays, glasses etc, bending, stooping and kneeling
